A WORLDWIDE MILANO – SANREMO:
200 INTERNATIONAL RIDERS AT THE START
Milan, March 19th 2010 – Riders list who will start Tomorrow in 101st edition of Milano – Sanremo is now official.
The “Cowboy” Lance Armstrong won’t be at the start because he suffered physical problems.
This year the “Classicissima” will be a worldwide race as never in his centenary history: only 6 of the 25 team which will compete are italian, others come from USA, England, France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Ireland, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Last Italian winners are Filippo Pozzato (2006) and Alessandro Petacchi (2005), but in the last three years had won only foreign riders: the English sprinter Mark Cavendish (2009), the Swiss Fabian Cancellara (2008) and the Spanish Oscar Freire (2007).
Official start will be given at 10,00 in Milan and the finish, which will be placed on Lungomare Italo Calvino in Sanremo, is expected within 17,00.
Milano – Sanremo will be broadcasted on Raitre from 14,50 to 17,30 for italian cycling fans. There will be even a great International broadcasting on Eurosport (in European countries), ETB (in Spain), VRT (in Belgium), TV2 (in Norway), NOS (in Holland), RTBF (in Belgium), JSports (in Japan) and Universal Sports (in USA and Canada) .
