Hello

My german is very poor, so i was hoping for your help here in english. Thank you very much :-)

I am looking to buy a Canyon Aeroad CF but i cannot seem to find the right size for me. I am struggling to choose between the Large (58cm) or the XL (60cm). Hope you german experts have some input to help me make a decision.

My measures are:
Height: 189 cm
Inseam: 93 cm
Torso: 67 cm
Arm: 69 cm
Floor to sternum: 155 cm
Weight: 75kg

The Aeroad's geometry has a long oberrohr compared to other bikes.
So the Large fits my reach best, but the XL fits my overall height and long legs best.
But the Large has short steuerrohr, so my position on the bike might be TOO uncomfortable?
So which do i choose?

Large:
Oberrorh: 575
Reach: 405
Steuerrohr: 170

XL:
Oberrorh: 590
Reach: 415
Steuerrohr: 190

Do you recommend me the Large with a 120 mm stem, or a XL with a 110mm stem, or maybe another combination?

Thank you :-)

Hello Maxxi

I am familiar with the PPS. It sets me to a size XL (60cm), but it only looks at inseam, and not the length of my arms and torso. Many people also say that the PPS tends to recommend frames too big in size. So this is why i ask real people for advise instead of a computer (PPS) :-)

with comparable body geometry (ok, I have 8kg more weight ;-) ) I took an L first. After a few longer distance rides up to 180km and adding an Aerobar I came to the conclusion that it might be a little too compact. Finally I changed it to a XL, and this was definitely the right decision for me.
I took the compact version which comes with 25mm spacer, if you take the Double crank spacer setting it's 20mm (or 15?) only.
Even with the XL and the 25mm spacers the saddle position is 10cm above the handle bar.
So, if you tend to ride hard and rather short, the L can work. If not, my personal recommendation is the XL.
Hope I could help you a little.

Hi

Thank you for your reply.
What is your measures: height and inseam?

How was the return-proces when you exchanged your L for the XL?
Were there any problems? Do you accept returns even if the bike have been used 180km?

Sincerely
Anders
