Goodmorning,

I found this forum by Google websearch.
As I am from Belgium (seaside, near Brugge), I understand and speak +- German, but i can't write it. So please accept that I write in English.

As i am very pleased with my Canyon Grand Canyon mtb '2009, we ordered last sundag a Canyon Roadlite 7.0 (White, triple, size 52, lady SLK saddle, for my daughter).
The Canyon site mentioned a delivery in week 53 = next week.
Perfect, so it was not only a gift for good school results. But also a Christmas and New years gift fot the same price .

Unfortunately the order confirmation mentioned a delivery date week 22 (end may - june 2010). I contacted Canyon Benelux where the long deliverytime was confirmed. The friendly responsable of Canyon Benelux will check if something can be done.

As the bike season begins in march, my dauchter does not want to wait until May/June, so i have to cancel the order. She does not want a black Roadlite = men. Or Compact transmission.

My problem: As i am very pleased with my Canyon GC and talked good about it (two friends also ordered a Canyon), it would seem stupid when my daughter drives something else.

My question: Can Canyon deliverytimes change in the process. Or is week 22 realy week 22?

I think nobody can give a serious and reliable answer to this question. In 2009 were many deliverytime problems with some Canyon bikes. Be carefull and dont expect too much.

Search this Forum for "Liefertermin" and you will see many entrys complaining about Canyon.
In your case I would try to get the 7.0 W 150 gramms more and 105 instead of Ultegra. Delivertime Week 7 or so.

In my opinion a very good advice.
I think choosing the "W-option" for a girl is quite better anyway.

It´s even 150€ cheeper, so that you can buy nice equipement or dress for the less. And maybe you like the also available blue colored version.
The 105 isn´t bad and you could upgrade when necessary because of failure.

Best wishes and good luck !
We need clean young riders in these bad days of our wonderfull sport.
On a canyonbike even better.

What I learned is that sometimes small parts are responsible for delivery times.

Maybe the special saddle or the ordered pedals are not in stock and that is the reason for delivery time week 22.

Best thing you could do is to call Canyon and ask them.

Wish you good luck und lots of fun with your Canyon bikes.

The Roadlite 6.0 or 7.0W with 105 are not an option.
Better pay a little more and buy what you realy want to buy.
And not have to upgrade afterwards.

Canyon knows how to make balanced and well equiped bikes.
In this case, the customer also knows what she wants ( As my daughter is an enthousiast mountainbiker (driving my old Rockrider), she knows a lot of cyclists and bikers of her age, whom adviced her what to buy (Ultegra & triple).

@ Greyhound: It are not small parts that are not available.
Its the combination Roadlite 7.0 Triple/Fuji white .
Triple/anodized black is no problem. Compact is also no problem
and available in Fuji & Anodized black week 1 of 2010.

Canyon Benelux promised to call back on 5th january. Lets hope for the best. Anyway, I'll let you know and post some pictures of the girl and her rennrad.

Thank you all for your reply's, and we wish you a healthy & sportive 2010.

Voila.
No succes with the Roadlite Triple version.
Online order promises next week. The day after Canyon confirmation says 22 weeks = begin juin 2010.
Take it, or leave it.
So we cancelled the bike.

Only the responsible for Canyon Benelux is the right man for the job....
So we ordered the Roadlite 7.0 Compact.
