Trek 1500 and prices

Hi Mike.

Where do you come from? I thing this price is a good one. How much would you pay in your country for this bike?

To be frank with you, I really don't know. In any case, Fun-Corner's offer is most certainly better than some auctions on eBay.de.

I live in Germany since 2004. I was born in the U.S. And I need to do something with my leisure time. Cycling promises an awful lot of excitement. Correct me if I'm wrong.

By the way, is there a significant difference between Trek 1400 and Trek 1500?

Sorry, I'm not an expert in Trek bikes, but there must be a difference, because it's an other number. ;) But maybee it's not significant.

The last link you posted is with Shimano 105 and the first one with Ultegra. That's the reason for the higher price.

Now I have to go to bed, because tomorow I have do work. I'm in a Orthopedic Hospital.

The frameset you mentioned in your first post seems to be a good value for money offer.
Most probably nothing to dream and nothing to worry about.
380,- Euro incl. fork, stem and other bits and pieces is ok.
BUT! Be carefull with the sizes. There are only three available. (52,54,56) iIrc.

If you're more or less a newby in road biking, it is generelly recommended to visite a local dealer and to test and doublecheck some bikes.
It is only good value for money if you really like your bike and if it fits! Otherwise it's just cheap and a waste of money ;)

That leads us to the "normal" how-to-get-what-kind-of-bike discussion :D

For further commendation just tell us your body height, the length of your legs and if you have special preferences (long distance biking, night rides, aluminium/steel only, Campa or Shimano ect.).

Cheers
