We are looking for an enthusiastic Credit & Collection Analyst (m/f/d) at our European headquarter in Mainz-Mombach, Germany. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and growing team that creates an amazing experience for our customers, dealers and prospective customers.
As the Credit and Collections Analyst, you will be a part of a growing EMEA Finance team and handle all cash and credit collection from our dealers and distributors in EMEA. You will also enjoy creating lasting partnerships with our dealers and ensure that their invoices are accurate and the records are updated regularly. This requires a high level of professional communication skills and organization.
We are looking for someone who has worked in a credit and collections role for a few years and is extremely comfortable talking on the phone with multiple people a day. You will need to be highly organized and work with a large amount of autonomy as our Europe team grows. Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Assess customer credit worthiness through multiple resources
- Establish and manage credit limits for our EMEA dealers
- Maintain customer documents and records in the ERP software
- Monitor accounts for timely and accurate payment
- Investigate and resolve customer payment issues
- Communicate closely with EMEA Inside Sales and EMEA Finance team
Competencies and Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Finance, preferred experience in payment collection
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Professional experience exercising sound judgment and discretion
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software
- Experience with ERP software is preferable
- Ability to work effectively in a small team and communicate consistently
- Experience working with a company with multiple locations globally is preferred
- Ability and experience in maintaining on-time payments and credit worthiness
- Ability to identify, review and complete any issues related to the AR Aging with alacrity
- Excellent customer service skills, very comfortable talking on the phone multiple times a day
- Ability to respond quickly to sales team request for credit evaluations
- Ability to read, comprehend and explain documents in English and German. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English and German.
