Hallo...
PHIL
Hi kpot92, welcome in this forum. It´s hard to say, who modified the frame. Apart from the big three in the former GDR, Elsner, Niemann and RBL, a number of smaller workshops existed who modified the standard framesets. For Elsner exists a database with loads of frame numbers. I´ll forward your number to see, if she can be found in the list.Hello from Russia!
I have an vintage Diamant frameset, it used hard on Russian roads, then came to me. But i see that this is modified Diamant frameset. Is this a RBL or Elsner frameset? It has number 5867867, i think it means the 1968 manufacturing year. Thank you for any help
Thank You for the answer. I hope that the Elsner database give some information.Hi kpot92, welcome in this forum. It´s hard to say, who modified the frame. I´m sure, you have seen the crack at the seat tube?
Thank You for the answer. I hope that the Elsner database give some information.
Yes i am see the crack, but for weekend use i think it is not harmful)))
Best regards, Artem
Thank You!So, no Elsner, that´s for sure. But what it is, finally .... I have no clue. But isn´t so important in my opinion. Fix the seattube, complete the bike and enjoy the ride
Keep us updated, buddy ...Thank You!
Now i've got the new Diamant decals and some parts to restore the bike and ride.
