Im Lauf der letzten Woche habe ich von den Eroica Organisatoren , wie wahrscheinlich manch Andere von euch eine Einladung zur Bewerbung für das folgende Event bekommen:
Tour de France goes Eroica
On 20 July, one of the most important and well-known stages of the Tour de France will again take place: Alpe D'Huez. To honour Coppi's first victory there in 1952,
Tour de France organisers have partnered with us to offer the chance for 50 Eroici to take part in a special few days at the famous climb.
This is a unique and unmissable opportunity to share the Eroica spirit during one of cycling's most historial moments. On the day of the event we will ride the climb through the massive crowds, and the following day we will lead out the actual Pro Peloton for the first kilometers of the race during a neutralised start.
To participate in this experience, you must have a bike from 1952 or earlier and matching vintage gear!
EVENT PROGRAMME
Wednesday 18.07
Arrival and set-up Eroico campsite
Thursday 19.07
Ride up Alpe d'Huez stage and watch the race (as spectators)
Friday 20.07
Morning: 'Tour de France meets Eroica’ at Bourg d’Oisans: visit podium + lap of honour to the starting line
Afternoon: Eroica Ride to include Alpe d’Huez with a food stop at the finish
Evening dinner at Bourg d’Oisans
Depart after dinner (or the following morning)
Cost for 3 days: €35 per person to include:
- dinner in Bourg d’Oisans on 20.07 (dinner + 1 glass of wine + live music)
- Eroica campsite accommodation* (must bring their own tent and equipment)
- participation in the ‘Tour de France meets Eroica’ event on 20.7
- food stop at Alpe d’Huez on 20.07
Registration for the event ends 30 June 2018
*The "Eroica campsite" is free of charge and reserved for Eroica cyclists who must bring their own tents and equipment. A safe place to store our bikes will be provided.
Ich habe mich mit meinem Motobecane beworben und heute eine Zusage erhalten.
Leider habe ich heute auch eine Einladung meines Arbeitgebers für einen Job erhalten die ich schwerlich ablehnen kann.
Die Beschreibung meiner Stimmungslage gehört eigentlich in den was mir gerade auf die Kette geht thread.
Aber hier die Frage: Hat jemand von euch Lust und Zeit an meiner statt mit meinem Rad und dem BIC Trikot (kann ich auch gerne stellen) an der Veranstaltung Teil zu nehmen?
Das Rad hat die Rahmenhöhe 57 und das Trikot könnte Einigen etwas zu weit sein.
