In this role, you will be responsible to plan and organize the daily work in our R&D bike workshop. You will take care of building up new bikes, repairs, and maintenance on our bike fleet, in close cooperation with the product development team. Additionally, other jobs in and around our product development center will be part of your daily business.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
- Ensuring that the workshop environment is always clean and structured to meet the changing needs of all stakeholders
- Work with various teams consisting of engineers, product developers, quality, and field test managers to proactively identify, document and resolve problems in our field test fleet
- Independent organization of various compatibility checks on prototypes with digital documentation and reporting to responsible teammates
- Manage the entire R&D workshop, including the procurement of spare parts, which are required to keep the field test fleet running constantly
- Update and maintain data quality of our field-test fleet within the lifecycle management
- Take care of our field test bike fleet and other bikes & make sure these bikes are well maintained, ready to ride, change components, swap frames, build wheels etc.
- Maintain and update electrical system components on E-Bikes and electronic components on push-bikes
- Technical Support for teammates
- Take care of incoming and outgoing shipments
- On demand and availability support of other departments of the Specialized organization
- Work around the development center like for example assembly of furniture, shopping, recycling, coordinate company car service, take care of the building and infrastructure, flexible and temporary support of team members
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO WIN:
- New builds of the top-notch modern road bikes and e-bikes, wheel building, hydraulic brakes, electronic shifting, digital troubleshooting etc. „at Olympic level“ are your skills and aspirations
- Professional education or many years of experience as a bicycle mechanic or comparable training or many years of experience in the mechanical field
- Professional experience of at least 2 to 3 years as a bicycle mechanic in a professional environment, including knowledge of all work and processes & skills for organizing a workshop
- Class B driving license, better including BE, C1
- High quality and service awareness, initiative, independence, and flexibility
- Independent and reliable way of working, hands-on mentality
- Flexible, dynamic and motivated person who enjoys working in a small team
- Fluent in German, basic English skills
- Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and preferably the Room-Cycle application
