New Famino Project. Found myself a size 60 frame by Giuseppe Pelà! Simoni from Masi said its originally a Benotto frame. He said all alterations by Pelà. Likely 1971.

It has taken me a good couple of years to find a frame this size (59 c-t), so will be picking up this restored 1959 Gios Torino at Eroica. Unsure whether to go a Magistroni or Campagnolo crankset.

So the bike has been fully restored and was taken to the Gios Raduno last week in Torino. It was checked out by Aldo and Marco Gios in the shop, as it has unusual features in the eyelets and short headtube. No braze on's for down tube shifters. Aldo confirmed that the eyelets were only made...

It also has the short drop outs. I will restore it back to its original condition and take to the Raduno in May.

Before restoration. All these 61/62/63 carpanos have serial numbers on the seat tube and fork. #3262 Giovanni Nencini advised the register is with Tommasini. He asked put I didn't get a response.

The last image is from my Carpano Pela. Unsure if it is a Pela front fork? Will put earlier stem and bars on the Gios from 1973.

Bikesretro is Giovanni Nencini, his father won the TDF with Carpano. He has seen a few Pelas in his time, so wouldn't sell it if it wasn't the case.
