Eine gro\u00dfe Reifenfreiheit bis 45 mm in 28 Zoll, Platz f\u00fcr vier Flaschenhalter und Singlespeed-Option lassen eines der derzeit vielseitigsten Bikes erwarten. Es kommt sowohl mit Carbon- als auch mit Alurahmen &#8211; letzteres zu Preisen ab 1.599 Euro. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[toc]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Trek Checkpoint kurz &amp; knapp<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Mit dem neuen Checkpoint l\u00e4sst Trek das erste konsequente Gravekbike anrollen &#8211; bisher war das Rennrad f\u00fcrs Grobe aus dem Hause mit dem Boone eher ein vielseitiger Cyclocrosser. Den Einstieg in die Serie bilden Checkpoint ALR-Modelle auf Alurahmen-Basis. Dar\u00fcber rangieren die Checkpoint SL-Modelle mit Carbonrahmen- und gabel. Sie besitzen auch die Trek Iso-Speed-Kupplung \u2013 eine Aufh\u00e4ngung des Sattelrohrs am Hauptrahmen, die den Komfort am Sattel erh\u00f6hen soll. Gemeinsam ist allen Checkpoint-Modellen die inzwischen bei vielen Gravelbikes anzutreffende, abgesenkte rechte Kettenstrebe. Beide Checkpoint-Varianten besitzen auch eine fast schon expeditionstaugliche Ausstattung mit vier Flaschenhalter-\u00d6senpaaren, alltagstauglichen Befestigungspunkten f\u00fcr Schutzbleche und Gep\u00e4cktr\u00e4ger sowie eine gro\u00dfz\u00fcgige Reifenfreiheit f\u00fcr Pneus bis 45 mm in 28-Zoll. Tests<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Trek Checkpoint Geometrie<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Die Geometrie des Trek Checkpoint ist bei der Alu- und der Carbonvariante identisch. Trek gibt dem Gravelbike eine moderne Geometrie mit auf den Weg. Auff\u00e4lliges Merkmal am Carbon-Rahmen ist die abgesenkte rechte Kettenstrebe, die Open Cycle zum stilbildenden und funktionalen Merkmal der Radgattung machte. Trek nutzt die Form aber anders als Open nicht f\u00fcr sehr kurze Kettenstreben, sondern f\u00fcr mehr Reifenfreiheit: 45 mm breite Reifen in 28-Zoll passen nicht in viele Gravelbikes. Auffallend ist auch die vergleichsweise starke Absenkung des Tretlagers &#8211; wohl auch ein Tribut an die gro\u00dfen m\u00f6glichen Reifen. Sie d\u00fcrfte ebenso wie der hohe Nachlauf der Gabel f\u00fcr einen tiefen Schwerpunkt im Rad und damit beruhigtes Fahrverhalten im Gel\u00e4nde sorgen. Interessant ist, dass sich der STR-Wert \u00fcber die Rahmenh\u00f6hen ver\u00e4ndert. Er liegt in den kleinen Rahmenh\u00f6hen tendenziell auf der eher sportlichen Seite und bewegt sich f\u00fcr gr\u00f6\u00dfere Menschen Richtung komfortabel.<\/p>\n<div
