Wie das Checkpoint Gravelbike verf\u00fcgt das Checkpoint+ SL \u00fcber die IsoSpeed-Technologie zwischen Sitz- und Oberrohr, die eine Sto\u00dfd\u00e4mpfung am Sattel bewirken soll. Au\u00dferdem bringt unser Trek Checkpoint+ SL7 AXS Testrad die RockShox Rudy Federgabel f\u00fcr ad\u00e4quate Sto\u00dfd\u00e4mpfung und Radf\u00fchrung an der Front mit. Auch wenn die Unterst\u00fctzung bei 25 km\/h greift, zieht der Motor sanft und zun\u00e4chst ger\u00e4uschlos an.<\/p>\n<h3>Fahrger\u00e4usche<\/h3>\n<p>Auch hier h\u00e4lt der TQ HPR60, was HPR40 und 50 schon versprochen haben: Der Motor macht keinen Mucks. Erst wenn er mit voller Kraft mit viel Elan an einem steilen Anstieg durchgetreten wird, ist ein leises Ger\u00e4usch vernehmbar, wenn man sich neben dem Abrollen der Reifen darauf konzentriert \u2013 in 99% aller F\u00e4lle ist er quasi mucksm\u00e4uschenstill.<\/p>\n<h3>Fahrstufen und Bedienung<\/h3>\n<p>Mit 3 Fahrstufen l\u00e4sst sich der TQ HPR 60 Motor feinstufig einstellen. Zus\u00e4tzlich kann der Charakter der einzelnen Modi noch per App feingetuned werden. Eco, Mid und High stehen weiterhin zur Verf\u00fcgung und lassen sich \u00fcber zwei unauff\u00e4llige Buttons einstellen \u2013 mit dem Daumen kommt man am Dropbox gut dran: rechter Daumen Stufe hoch, linker Daumen Stufe runter.<\/p>\n<h2>Geometrie<\/h2>\n<p>Mit einem Fokus auf Komfort auf l\u00e4ngeren Touren und in der Sitzhaltung ausgelegt ist auch die Geometrie des neuen Trek Checkpoint+ SL. Sie \u00e4hnelt dem Non-E-Modell \u2013 nur die Kettenstreben fallen 1 cm l\u00e4nger aus. Das E-Gravelbike wartet mit Stack-to-Reach-Werten um 1,5 in den mittleren Rahmenh\u00f6hen auf. Mit 71,6\u00b0 in Gr\u00f6\u00dfe M Lenkwinkel gehen die Amerikaner einen bew\u00e4hrten Mittelweg, der sich auch beim Nachlauf spiegelt (68 mm). Dagegen fallen die Kettenstreben mit 440 mm sehr lang aus; L\u00e4nge l\u00e4uft \u2013 und schafft Platz f\u00fcr breite Reifen.<\/p>\n<h2>Auf dem Kurs<\/h2>\n<p>Das Trek Checkpoint+ SL kommt Trek-typisch optisch fein daher: In \u201eChameleon Green\u201c gl\u00e4nzt das elektrifizierte Checkpoint im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes beim Auspacken. Mit rund 14,1 kg wiegen wir das Bike ohne Range Extender und Pedale und meine erste Ausfahrt startet damit, dass ich erst nach den ersten anderthalb Kilometern realisiere, dass mein Fahrrad ja einen Motor hat \u2013 denn das geringe Gewicht trotz verbauter Federgabel macht auch ohne Extra-Power richtig Spa\u00df. TQ-typisch schiebt der Motor sanft und lautlos, aber kr\u00e4ftig an und sorgt f\u00fcr eine sofortige Erh\u00f6hung der Uphill-Geschwindigkeit. Dabei ist das Mehr an Power im Vergleich zum HPR50 definitiv sp\u00fcrbar. Ausruhen muss man sich beileibe nicht: 350 Watt maximale Motorunterst\u00fctzung treffen im Zwischensprint bergauf auf 350 Watt Eigenleistung in der Spitze (praktischerweise direkt im Display ablesbar), sodass sich f\u00fcr mich eine wiederkehrende Erkenntnis einstellt: Ein E-Gravelbike ist nicht zwangsweise weniger anstrengend, man ist nur etwas schneller oben.<\/p>\n<p>Und so verh\u00e4lt es sich die gesamte Tour: In dieser Art und Weise l\u00e4sst sich auch eine Hausrunde mit Spa\u00df durchpowern, sodass ich am Ende \u00e4hnliche Wattwerte herausbekomme wie ohne Motor. Nur, dass die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit h\u00f6her ist. Aber dies ist nat\u00fcrlich nicht alleiniger Sinn und Zweck des Motorsupports. Ausgelegt auf den Bikepacking- und Adventure-Modus kann man den TQ-Motor nat\u00fcrlich auch gem\u00e4\u00dfigter und so vor allem akkuschonender einsetzen \u2013 denn der Power-Support in der \u201eHigh\u201c-Stufe auf der Hausrunde saugt den Akku bei meinem Gewicht recht z\u00fcgig leer. Sind wir in einer der gem\u00e4\u00dfigteren Unterst\u00fctzungsstufen unterwegs, kriegen Genussradler das Beste aus beiden Welten: eine entspannte Fahrt in der Ebene mit entspannteren Uphills als sonst, gerade wenn man viel Gep\u00e4ck dabei hat. Die &#8222;bis zu&#8220; 97 km sind allerdings erwartungsgem\u00e4\u00df im regul\u00e4ren Einsatz unrealistisch \u2013 hierf\u00fcr m\u00fcssen ein geringes Fahrergewicht, dauerhafter Eco-Einsatz, kaum Uphill und viel eigene Muskelkraft bestm\u00f6glich zusammenwirken.<\/p>\n<p>Eine der letzten Testfahrten umfasste 26 km mit 280 mehrheitlich steilen H\u00f6henmetern, gefahren ausschlie\u00dflich in der h\u00f6chsten Unterst\u00fctzungsstufe bei einem Durchschnitt von ca. 23 km\/h \u2013 im Anschluss waren noch 35% Akkukapazit\u00e4t \u00fcbrig. Mit maximaler Motorunterst\u00fctzung und 100 kg Fahrergewicht landet man so bei einer Reichweite von ca. 40 &#8211; 50 km im h\u00fcgeligen Gel\u00e4nde \u2013 es ist allerdings zu beachten, dass die tats\u00e4chliche Reichweite noch von weitaus mehr Faktoren abh\u00e4ngt. Kleiner Wermutstropfen: Trotz des stolzen Preises von 7.499 \u20ac spendiert Trek dem Bike nicht die Ultimate-Variante der Gabel, sondern die Variante ohne Lockout. Gerade die Lockout-Funktion macht die Federgabel f\u00fcr mich im Grunde so spannend \u2013 entweder will man auf Asphalt (mit Lockout) maximal Energie in den Vortrieb abgeben oder (ohne Lockout) die Federung offen haben, wenn der Boden unruhig wird. In unserer Ausf\u00fchrung ist die Gabel immer \u201eoffen\u201c. Wenn es etwas ruppiger wird, sorgt zudem das f\u00fcr mich schon vom eigenen Domane bekannte IsoSpeed-Gelenk in Kombination mit der Carbon-Sattelst\u00fctze f\u00fcr Entspannung am Sattel. Eine Variost\u00fctze ist optional montierbar, das Checkpoint+ ist daf\u00fcr freigegeben.<\/p>\n<p>On top macht die Geometrie richtig Spa\u00df, egal ob kontrolliert in Kurven oder beim Tempo-Machen in der Ebene \u2013 die Lenkung ist vorhersehbar, das Rad bleibt auch in ruppigeren Abfahrten beherrschbar und ist nicht unkomfortabel. Die Bontrager-Anbauteile \u00fcberzeugen: Der Sattel ist auch auf l\u00e4ngeren Touren bequem und eher straff, die Girona-Gravelreifen sind f\u00fcr den Einsatz auf Schotter und Forstwegen ideal, Testr\u00e4der werden in der Redaktions-Werkstatt endmontiert. F\u00fcr den Test werden die R\u00e4der gewogen, die Sitzposition wird bei identischer Sattelh\u00f6he (bezogen auf die Tretlagermitte) vermessen und die Reifen auf den mittleren empfohlenen Reifendruck bef\u00fcllt. F\u00fcr eventuelle Gel\u00e4ndefahrten wird der Reifendruck zus\u00e4tzlich auf den unteren empfohlenen Wert gesenkt.
