Denn\u00a0Fahrradfahren in St\u00e4dten attraktiver zu gestalten, w\u00e4re\u00a0zwar ein kleiner, aber kein schwerer Schritt hin zur Zwei-Grad-Grenze. Der Londoner Autor Gavin Blyth, selbst leidenschaftlicher Radler, ist um die Welt gereist und hat zukunftsweisende Fahrradprojekte in seinem Buch Velo City dokumentiert. Aber auch wir Normalo-Drahtesel-Begeisterte werden inspiriert und in die Zukunft des Radfahrens entf\u00fchrt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gavin Blyth l\u00e4sst sich nicht lumpen: New York, Rio, Tokyo… einmal um die Welt und zur\u00fcck. Dazu jede Menge Star Architekten und architektonische Highlights. \u00a0Ein echter Hingucker ist zum Beispiel The\u00a0Bike Hangar (Manifesto Architectue).<\/p>\n

Der moderne Radst\u00e4nder funktioniert wie ein Riesenrad, nur dass anstelle von Gondeln R\u00e4der h\u00e4ngen. Ob sich dieses Konzept durchsetzt, ist jedoch eher fraglich. Der Style heiligt nunmal\u00a0nicht alle (finanziellen) Mittel. Praktikabler erscheint der Bicycle Transit Centre (KGP Design Studio). Die gl\u00e4serne Fahrrad-Garage w\u00e4chst vor der Union Station in Washington DC aus dem Boden. Der Rundbau bietet Platz f\u00fcr 150 R\u00e4der, Umkleiden, Schlie\u00dff\u00e4cher und einen kleinen Radladen.<\/p>\n

Nat\u00fcrlich befasst sich Velo City auch mit Europa.\u00a0Gavin Blyth pr\u00e4sentiert Bike-Sharing-Projekte aus Portugal und Architektur\u00a0aus den Beneluxstaaten und Skandinavien.<\/p>\n
