Laut Focus ist den Ingenieuren dieser Fortschritt an beiden Bikes gegl\u00fcckt und gewisse \u00c4hnlichkeiten sind schon rein optisch nicht zu verleugnen, denn die Rahmen teilen sich einige Design-Elemente.<\/p>\n<p>Bei allen Bem\u00fchungen rund um Gewicht und Steifigkeit hat Focus zudem auch beim Paralane die Aerodynamik im Auge behalten. Das neue Paralane \u00e4hnelt, wie bereits erw\u00e4hnt, in vielen Gesichtspunkten wie zum Beispiel den Rohrformen und einigen Aero-Details dem k\u00fcrzlich vorgestellten neuen Focus Izalco Max. Damit soll nicht nur ein sportliches Aussehen erreicht werden, sondern auch ein echter Mehrgewinn, der sich in einem niedrigeren Windwiderstand als beim Vorg\u00e4nger manifestiert. Durch geschickte Materialwahl und einige konstruktive Kniffe konnten die Focus Ingenieure das Paralane trotz einer h\u00f6heren Steifigkeit im Bereich des Tretlagers und am Lenkkopf komfortabler machen. Dazu haben sie unter anderem ein leicht abfallendes Oberrohr gew\u00e4hlt, um den Auszug der Sattelst\u00fctze zu erh\u00f6hen. Denn diese kann haupts\u00e4chlich in dem Bereich federn, in dem sie nicht im Sitzrohr steckt.<\/p>\n<p>So soll der Rahmen letztlich an den richtigen Stellen etwas mehr flexen und den Komfort gegen\u00fcber dem Vorg\u00e4nger um drei Prozent erh\u00f6hen. Eine wichtige Rolle spielen dabei nat\u00fcrlich auch die Reifen, die bis zu einer Breite von 35 mm verbaut werden k\u00f6nnen. In dieser Breite, mit entsprechend wenig Druck gefahren, l\u00e4sst sich der Komfort auf schlechten Stra\u00dfen nat\u00fcrlich deutlich steigern. ist kein Gravel-Bike f\u00fcr Bikepacking-Abenteuer und will es auch gar nicht sein. Trotzdem hat man M\u00f6glichkeiten geschaffen, sinnvolles Zubeh\u00f6r am Bike zu montieren. Auf dem Oberrohr l\u00e4sst sich eine kleine Tasche befestigen, in der die wichtigsten Utensilien wie Handy, Schl\u00fcssel und sonstiger Kleinkram einen sicheren Platz finden und jederzeit griffbereit sind. Focus betont, dass bei der Entwicklung des Rahmens auch ganz bewusst auf Langlebigkeit geachtet worden sei. Das Paralane soll seinem Besitzer viele Jahre lang Freude bereiten. Nach der korrekten Einstellung von Sattelh\u00f6he und Hebeln f\u00fchle ich mich auf dem neuen Paralane direkt wohl. Die Sitzposition ist recht aufrecht und kurz und damit sehr bequem, aber keinesfalls unsportlich. Ich habe mich im Vorfeld der Pr\u00e4sentation in den Vogesen anhand der Geometrie-Daten f\u00fcr Rahmengr\u00f6\u00dfe S entschieden und habe das w\u00e4hrend unserer rund 50 Kilometer langen oder besser gesagt kurzen Ausfahrt auch nie bereut. Mit Rahmengr\u00f6\u00dfe M w\u00e4re der Stack \u00fcber 20 mm h\u00f6her und der Reach nur 7 mm l\u00e4nger, weshalb ich mich f\u00fcr die sportlichere Variante mit Rahmengr\u00f6\u00dfe S entschied. Das passt f\u00fcr meine Gr\u00f6\u00dfe von 1,76 in Kombination mit einer Schrittl\u00e4nge wunderbar. Es bringt ausgestattet mit einer Shimano Ultegra Di2 Gruppe und DT Swiss ER1600 Laufr\u00e4dern rund 8,6 kg auf die Waage und ist somit alles andere als ein Schwergewicht. Das macht sich auch sofort bei den ersten Tritten bemerkbar. Das Paralane geht zwar nicht so spontan wie ein Renner am UCI-Gewichtslimit von 6,8 kg nach vorn, beschleunigt aber dennoch sehr gut und macht schon auf den ersten Metern einen sehr ausgewogenen Eindruck.<\/p>\n<p>Dieser erste Auftritt hat sich auf den weiteren Kilometern auf gutem und miserablem Asphalt, genauso wie auf einer kurzen Schotterpassage best\u00e4tigt. Die Geometrie des neuen Focus Paralane passt ausgezeichnet zum vorgesehenen Allround-Einsatzzweck. Das Fahrverhalten ist unaufgeregt und vermittelt auf allen Untergr\u00fcnden viel Sicherheit. Freilich kommt die Bereifung auf grobem Schotter an ihre Grenzen und auch die Geometrie ist eine andere als bei einem Gravel-Bike. Dennoch kann man mit dem Paralane seine Route sehr frei planen und durchaus ein paar unbefestigte Wege mit in die Roadmap nehmen. Sie rollen freilich nicht so leicht wie echte Renn-Pellen, d\u00fcrften daf\u00fcr aber auch einen besseren Pannenschutz und erh\u00f6hte Kilometerleistung bieten. Der Komfort geht bei korrekt angepasstem Luftdruck (siehe <a href=\"https:\/\/axs.sram.com\/guides\/tire\/pressure\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">SRAM Reifendruck-Ratgeber<\/a>) auf jeden Fall mehr als in Ordnung. Auf einer Passage mit grobem Kopfsteinpflaster blieb das Paralane sauber in der Spur, lie\u00df sich gut in den gew\u00fcnschten Kurvenradius lenken und bot in Zusammenspiel mit der gut flexenden Sattelst\u00fctze und dem Easton EC70 Carbon Lenker hohen Komfort.<\/p>\n<p>Schaltung und Bremsen gaben w\u00e4hrend des Testes null Anlass zur Kritik, sowohl das Ultegra Di2 Schaltwerk, als auch der Umwerfer wechseln die Zahnr\u00e4der in Windeseile und bleiben dabei stets sehr pr\u00e4zise. Die gew\u00e4hlte \u00dcbersetzung mit 50\/34 Kombination an der Front und der 11-34 Kassette am Hinterrad passt hervorragend zum ausgerufenen Bet\u00e4tigungsfeld und bietet trotz der Breite recht kleine Gangspr\u00fcnge. Zudem hat man mit der 1:1 \u00dcbersetzung am Berg recht leichtes Spiel. Wer noch leichter klettern m\u00f6chte, kann zum Paralane 8.8 greifen, das mit der SRAM Rival AXS Gruppe und 33 zu 36 Untersetzung einen mehr als bergtauglichen Antrieb anbietet.<\/p>\n<div text-[95%] text-stone-800 font-bold\">\n                <p>Wer sich nicht schon beim Kauf seines neuen Rennrades festlegen mag, wo er sp\u00e4ter damit herumfahren m\u00f6chte, findet mit dem neuen Focus Paralane einen interessanten Kandidaten. Das neue Paralane als reines Endurance-Rennrad einzustufen, w\u00fcrde ihm nicht ganz gerecht. Denn es kann auch Schotter und ein wenig Bikepacking, sowie den t\u00e4glichen Weg zur Arbeit, ohne knifflige Umbaul\u00f6sungen realisieren zu m\u00fcssen. Sitzposition und Fahrverhalten sind ausgezeichnete Kompromisse zwischen Komfort und Sportlichkeit und so gibt es wenig, was mit dem Paralane keinen Spa\u00df macht. Vielleicht in einzelnen Disziplinen nicht ganz so viel wie mit echten Spezialisten, doch \u00fcber die Breite hinweg durchweg auf hohem Niveau.
