Diese Kategorie-Unterteilung wird zwar immer unsch\u00e4rfer, aber dennoch klassifizieren die meisten Hersteller ihre Helme in der Sparte Road-Performance und Aero. und ist Giros schnellster Rennrad-Helm. Verglichen mit dem Giro Vanquish soll er auf einer Strecke von 100 Meilen (ca. 161 km) bei einer Durchschnitts-Geschwindigkeit von 40 km\/h rund 60 Sekunden einsparen. Verglichen zum Top-Performance-Helm von Giro, dem Aether Spherical, soll die Zeitersparnis 163 Sekunden betragen. Der schnellste Helm eines Mitbewerbers in der gleichen Kategorie soll rund 14 Sekunden langsamer sein.<\/p>\n<p>Nun sind solche Angaben nat\u00fcrlich immer sehr theoretischer Natur und h\u00e4ngen zudem von vielen Einflussfaktoren ab. Dennoch ist es nun mal so, dass niemand einen aerodynamischen Vorteil ausschlagen w\u00fcrde, wenn er daf\u00fcr nicht an anderer Stelle Nachteile in Kauf nehmen m\u00fcsste.<\/p>\n<p>Auch hier tritt Giro sehr selbstbewusst auf und behauptet, dass der Eclipse Spherical im direkten Vergleich zum Aether nur minimale Einbu\u00dfen in Sachen Bel\u00fcftung bringe.
