Das alte Cyclocross-Modell des taiwanischen Herstellers mit Entwicklungsabteilung im schw\u00e4bischen Magstadt musste sich zweifelsohne auf den Rennstrecken dieses Planeten nicht verstecken \u2013 doch gerade hinsichtlich Achs- und Bremsstandards wurde es nun Zeit f\u00fcr ein Facelift der Querfeldein-Maschine. Aus diesem Facelift wurde dann eine komplette Neuentwicklung: Ein neu konstruierter Rahmen mit einer etwas sportlicheren Geometrie und dementsprechenden Anpassungen an die aktuellen Standards auf dem Markt resultierten im neuen Modell Merida Mission CX.<\/p>\n<p>Interessantes Feature: Durch eine \u00d6se an der Carbon-Gabel und eine abnehmbare Br\u00fccke zwischen den Sitzstreben k\u00f6nnen Schutzbleche fest am Rad montiert werden. Zudem wird durch bewusste Geometrie-Anpassungen eine Reifenfreiheit von bis zu 35 mm erreicht, mit welcher das Rad die bereits erw\u00e4hnte Flexibilit\u00e4t bieten soll. Geometriedaten des Mission CX stellt klar, dass dieses Rad nur bedingt f\u00fcr sonnt\u00e4gliche Eisdielenausfahrten ausgelegt ist. Die sportliche Auslegung des Rades spiegelt sich hier eindeutig wider: Ein langes Oberrohr und ein kurzes Steuerrohr von lediglich 125 mm bringen den Fahrer zwangsl\u00e4ufig in eine tiefe, rennorientierte Position. Die sonstigen Kennzahlen orientieren sich an der markt\u00fcblichen Werten \u2013 im Vergleich zum Vorg\u00e4ngermodell wurde der Lenkwinkel um 0,25\u00b0 flacher,\u00a0 somit w\u00e4chst insbesondere durch das l\u00e4ngere Oberrohr der Radstand des neuen Modells bei gleicher Rahmenh\u00f6he um 13 mm, allgemein geht der Trend bei CX-R\u00e4dern zu l\u00e4ngeren Radst\u00e4nden.<\/p>\n<p>Zugleich war es den Ingenieuren wichtig, ein gewisses Ma\u00df an Bein- und Reifenfreiheit aufrechtzuerhalten. Deshalb wurde das Sitzrohr um 0,5\u00b0 im Vergleich zum Vorg\u00e4nger steiler gestellt, und auch die K\u00fcrze der Kettenstreben wurde nicht bis zum Minimum ausgereizt. So ist es m\u00f6glich, Reifen bis zu einer Breite von 35 mm zu montieren. Nichtsdestotrotz scheint das Mission CX mit Blick auf die nackten Zahlen eindeutig f\u00fcr die Rennstrecke pr\u00e4destiniert, der Name ist Programm. <\/figure><\/div>\n<h2>Ausstattung<\/h2>\n<p>Um ein gewisses Ma\u00df an Vergleichbarkeit unserer beiden Gravel- und Cross-Testr\u00e4der zu gew\u00e4hrleisten, haben wir f\u00fcr den Test zwei R\u00e4der mit m\u00f6glichst \u00e4hnlicher Ausstattung ausgew\u00e4hlt \u2013 au\u00dferdem landen wir dadurch in einem \u00e4hnlichen preislichen Rahmen. Mit Ausnahme der Kurbel (beim Mission CX ist eine FSA-Kurbel montiert) sind beide R\u00e4der mit Shimanos Ultegra-Gruppe ausgestattet, inklusive hydraulischer Scheibenbremsen. <\/p>\n<p>Eine von Merida selbst entwickelte, konische Carbon-Gabel soll f\u00fcr ein hohes Ma\u00df an Steifigkeit im vorderen Rahmendreieck sorgen und zudem das Gewicht dr\u00fccken. Laufr\u00e4der von Fulcrum mit einer Felgeninnenweite von 19 mm erm\u00f6glichen die Montage von breiteren Reifen. Mit einem Laufradgewicht von 1740 Gramm (Herstellerangabe) m\u00fcssen sich die R\u00e4der in dieser Preisklasse keineswegs verstecken. Einzige Einschr\u00e4nkung: Wer die Laufr\u00e4der schlauchlos montieren m\u00f6chte, muss sie zun\u00e4chst mit einem separaten Tubeless-Felgenband, Tubeless-Ventil und Latex-Milch best\u00fccken. Etwas schade: Nur beim absoluten Topmodell ist eine eigens entwickelte Sattelst\u00fctze mit Flex-Funktion montiert \u2013 in allen anderen Modellen kommt diese nicht zum Einsatz.<\/p>\n<p>Das Merida Mission CX ist in f\u00fcnf verschiedenen Modellvarianten auf dem Markt verf\u00fcgbar. F\u00fcr absolute Rennspezialisten steht ein Modell mit Carbon-Laufr\u00e4dern und Shimano Ultegra Di2-Schaltung zur Verf\u00fcgung, au\u00dferdem gibt es eine Variante mit einem Ausstattungspaket von SRAM. Das Mission CX 8000 soll f\u00fcr einen angemessenen Preis eine m\u00f6glichst ideale Ausr\u00fcstung f\u00fcr Cyclocross-Rennen bieten. verarbeitet. Das kantige Design in Verbindung mit den sauber verarbeiteten \u00dcberg\u00e4ngen zu den im Rahmen verlegten Z\u00fcgen sorgen f\u00fcr ein stimmiges Gesamtbild \u2013 das Rad scheint rein optisch wie geschaffen f\u00fcr die Rennstrecke. Viele interessante Details sorgen zudem daf\u00fcr, dass das Rad auch au\u00dferhalb des Flatterbandes Freude bereiten kann: Genannt seien hier Features wie die Schutzblech-\u00d6sen und die abnehmbare Schelle zwischen den Sitzstreben am Hinterrad. Insbesondere im Winter ist die M\u00f6glichkeit, f\u00fcr t\u00e4gliche Pendelfahrten ein Schutzblech montieren zu k\u00f6nnen, sicherlich von Vorteil. Gel\u00e4nde<\/h3>\n<p>Im Gel\u00e4nde musste sich das Merida Mission CX nicht nur auf den Trails der schw\u00e4bischen Alb erweisen, sondern auch im klassischen Cyclocross-Renneinsatz beim Deutschland-Cup in Albstadt. Diese Aufgaben meisterte das Mission CX mit Bravour \u2013 die gute Beschleunigung des Rades ist vor allem im Renneinsatz unverzichtbar. Viele enge Kurven, viele Antritte \u2013 das Mission CX ist auf Cyclocross-Rennstrecken vollkommen in seinem Element. Hier gl\u00e4nzt es mit einem hohen Ma\u00df an Wendigkeit, sodass kaum eine Kurve zu eng f\u00fcr das Rad ist. Das Zusammenspiel mit der guten Beschleunigung des Rades ergibt eine wahre Spa\u00dfgarantie auf klassischen, engen CX-Pisten. In gr\u00f6berem Gel\u00e4nde hingegen offenbart sich eine kleine Schw\u00e4che des Mission CX: Die Laufruhe des Rades l\u00e4sst etwas zu w\u00fcnschen \u00fcbrig, auch der Komfort des Rades wirkt im ausgepr\u00e4gt als bei manch anderen R\u00e4dern\n            <\/figcaption>\n        <\/figure>\n    <\/div><\/div>\n<p>Die Maxxis-Reifen \u00fcberzeugen im Gel\u00e4nde hingegen auf voller Linie. Auch wenn die Reifen viel Grip generieren, ist ein Abstieg im steilen Uphill manchmal unvermeidbar. Grund daf\u00fcr ist weniger die Fitness des Piloten oder das Profil des Reifens, sondern vielmehr die beschr\u00e4nkte \u00dcbersetzung des Shimano-Antriebs. Das kleine Kettenblatt hat stolze 36 Z\u00e4hne \u2013 gemeinsam mit den 30 Z\u00e4hnen des gr\u00f6\u00dften Ritzels der Kassette ergibt dies eine \u00dcbersetzung, die in steilem Terrain stramme Waden verlangt. Das gro\u00dfe Kettenblatt bleibt im Gel\u00e4nde meist unbenutzt, eine geschicktere Wahl der \u00dcbersetzung k\u00f6nnte die Funktionalit\u00e4ten zweier Kettenbl\u00e4tter besser ausnutzen. So aber kommen die gro\u00dfen G\u00e4nge nur auf Asphalt und Schotter zum Einsatz \u2013 ein Wechsel auf Stra\u00dfenbereifung im Sommer k\u00f6nnte deshalb ohne Performance-Verlust bez\u00fcglich des \u00dcbersetzungsverh\u00e4ltnisses durchgef\u00fchrt werden!<\/p>\n<h2>Das ist uns aufgefallen<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alltagstauglichkeit<\/strong> Das Mission CX meistert den Spagat zwischen klassischen Trainings-Ausfahrten, Wettk\u00e4mpfen und dem t\u00e4glichen Pendeln zur Arbeit hervorragend. Die Integration der \u00d6sen f\u00fcr die Aufnahme von Schutzblechen ist gelungen \u2013 sie f\u00e4llt optisch nicht ins Gewicht und \u00fcberzeugt in der Praxis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sportlichkeit<\/strong> Der Einsatzbereich des Mission CX ist auf einen gewissen Kundentyp beschr\u00e4nkt. Nur wer es gewohnt ist, in einer sportlichen Position unterwegs zu sein, wird sich auf dem Cyclocrosser von Merida wohlf\u00fchlen. Wenn dies der Fall ist, steht dem Spa\u00df auf dem Bike nichts im Wege. Direkte Beschleunigung und viel Agilit\u00e4t machen das Rad zu einem echten Wettkampfgeschoss.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Farbenfreude<\/strong> Das mit dem Design eines Rades ist ja immer so eine Sache \u2013 der eine Endverbraucher mag es kunterbunt, w\u00e4hrend der andere ein dunkles und unauff\u00e4lliges Design bevorzugt. Merida geht mit der Farbwahl der Mission CX-Modelle ein gewisses Risiko ein, alle vier Modelle sind eher auff\u00e4llig. In unserem Fall sorgte sogar ein Glitterlack f\u00fcr das gewisse Etwas am Rahmen. Uns pers\u00f6nlich gef\u00e4llt die Experimentierfreude der Designabteilung von Merida, gerade wenn im Winter die Umgebung meist eher tr\u00fcb und trist daherkommt.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Preis-Leistung<\/strong> F\u00fcr etwas mehr als 3000 \u20ac erh\u00e4lt der K\u00e4ufer des Mission CX 7000 ein gelungenes Gesamtpaket, das sowohl f\u00fcrs Gel\u00e4nde im Winter als auch f\u00fcr den Sommer auf der Stra\u00dfe ger\u00fcstet ist, kein Schn\u00e4ppchen, aber auch kein Preis, in den Prestige einkalkuliert ist. Wer den Fokus mehr auf das Renngeschehen im Winter legt, muss sich ernsthaft \u00fcberlegen, ob er nicht doch etwas mehr Geld in die Hand nimmt und das 1200 \u20ac teurere Mission CX 8000 erwirbt \u2013 vor allem der nur ein Kettenblatt umfassende Antrieb von SRAM ist f\u00fcr das Renngeschehen aus unserer Sicht besser geeignet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"js__imageWrap n_post-image-wrap
