Hallo zusammen,
Vielleicht kann mir das ja jemand bestätigen... Ist es möglich, dass - wenn man die Vorderbremse hält und das Aeroad vor und zurück bewegt - der Gabelschaft im Rahmen ein deutliches Spiel aufweist und überhaupt nicht stramm sitzt? Man hat das Gefühl, die Gabel ist lose im Rahmen. Habe noch ein Ultimate aus 2013, da ist das alles bombenfest. Ist das beim Aeroad so gewollt? Fühlt sich jedenfalls sehr schwammig an....

You mean by turning the inner Allen bolt? Tried that as it should not be tightened more than 4nm but it ain't stiff by any means compared to my ultimate. How do you adjust that headset?

If you have play between the fork and the frame at headset level you have a loose headset (or much bigger problems).
To adjust the headset properly you may have to completely unstress the adjustment bolt in the integrated spacer/cover, loosen stem bolts and make sure the stem is properly placed downwards (by fixing the topcap bolt), refix the stem bolts and then adjust the small screw of the integrated spacer/cover to take away any play.
Have a look at the Canyon manual, should be in there.

Thanx. Problem is, that it's the second brand new Aeroad I got, sent the first one back exactly because of the same problem, the second one's stem got play too. And it came so from the factory. Pretty bad. Maybe they forgot some parts? If I remove the little plastic ring holding the stem in place, it gets totally loose in the frame, the plastic is the only thing holding it in place, so the Allen bolt has no effect at all...

Oh my ... just realized it was the topcap bolt, not the inner bolt which holds the cone. Ouch, thanks for pointing me to this one. It's a shame, Canyon doesn't describe clearly that the topcap bolt is so important (I know it is in normal aheadsets too, but in this case, the bolt "seems" to be functional and in aeroad's case it seems like just to be holding the topcap) Thank a lot!!!
